JM hails from Greensboro, NC a town that lies between the urban culture of Washington, DC and the gentility of Atlanta, GA. Though Greensboro has beauty and charm, JM had big aspirations. He moved north searching for the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn, NY. Music has been a driving force throughout JM’s life, but “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” written by Ashford and Simpson is a particular favorite and influence.
Along the way, JM’s worked with Patti Labelle, Anwar Robinson, Ryan Shaw and Cheryl “Pepsi” Riley. All have left their mark on JM, but each of these performers got as much as they gave. One of the first things you notice about JM is his big warm and mischievous smile. He’s a man of passion and contemplation, with a sense of humor always locked and loaded to spread smiles and good times.
